Main shayaar toh nahiiin...

Everyone knows about the very famous writer/director Mr. Javed Akhtar and we all have been charmed by his words some time or the other. I am not a very knowledgeable person when it comes to shaiyaaris and philosophies but the first time I was mesmerised by Javed Akhtar ji's words was when I heard his son say his words in the movie Dil Dhadakne Do. It's said that an actor brings life to a writer's words but in this scene, I did not feel the need to see the visuals since I loved the words. They were very simple and so relatable, something for people like me, who are not so much into poetries. 

Well, here a few shaiyaaris by Javed Akhtar that I think are quite simple and yet full of wisdom. 

I'm back!

Yes... This is my new year resolution to pen down my thoughts or share interesting posts on my blog everyday without a miss. Yes I started a blog 3 years ago and after a few posts I stopped writing but honestly ever since I've stopped writing, I always think about getting back to blogging. But due to really poor time management and a lot of procrastination, it just kept delaying.

But a new year, a new start!

Dirty and messy autumn

Banana Republic's current window, Fall 13-14, is quite dirty and untidy. Dry leaves are just laid out in the window as if the wind blew them inside the window and created a havoc. Even the mannequins aren't dressed properly, a handbag is on the floor (must have slipped because of unproper window dressing). That's why guys, it's very important to hire a good VM team.

LED light display in Belgium

Amazing LED light cathedral that was created for the 2012 Light Festival in Ghent, Belgium included 55,000 LED lights and was constructed of wood. The 92 ft. structure used only 20 kWh of energy.
I think it looks mind-blowing and attracts people like flies attracted to light!

Amazing typography video

This lyric-music video was made for the song 'Dream' by the french band Husbands, in which there aren't any musicians or exotic locations or any story but simply a variety of typefaces. It's a creation of Cauboyz, a duo of french designers and they have done an amazing job. The interesting part is that at first you feel it's a computer generated video but the end reveals that you are actually looking at a real, physical wall instead of rendered fonts. You can also watch the making of this video here that shows how precisely everything was arranged and illuminated in sync with the song. Amazing right!
