Dirty and messy autumn

Banana Republic's current window, Fall 13-14, is quite dirty and untidy. Dry leaves are just laid out in the window as if the wind blew them inside the window and created a havoc. Even the mannequins aren't dressed properly, a handbag is on the floor (must have slipped because of unproper window dressing). That's why guys, it's very important to hire a good VM team.

I think it looks mind-blowing and attracts people like flies attracted to light!

Amazing typography video

This lyric-music video was made for the song 'Dream' by the french band Husbands, in which there aren't any musicians or exotic locations or any story but simply a variety of typefaces. It's a creation of Cauboyz, a duo of french designers and they have done an amazing job. The interesting part is that at first you feel it's a computer generated video but the end reveals that you are actually looking at a real, physical wall instead of rendered fonts. You can also watch the making of this video here that shows how precisely everything was arranged and illuminated in sync with the song. Amazing right!

288 clocks!

Check out this amazing installation by HumansSince 1982 where they have used 288 analogue clocks which are programmed via iPad to create swirling visuals, a digital clock face and lettering. Through this installation, the artist shows how the normal clock, whose function is just to show time, can be used for so much more than that! The video below is just a prototype which was released earlier to give an idea about the actual installation but you can watch the real installation video here.

Colourful planets or Soap bubbles!

No, these are not new discovered planet pictures. Actually they are just soap bubbles photographed by extremely talented Jason Tozer. The more patterned surfaces are manipulated with the help of a straw to create various swirls and textures that might as well be the surfaces of Jupiter and Neptune. All of these colors and details are 100% genuine as Tozer hardly relies on photo editing and correction. You can check out his other work at his website.

Stone forests!

Ever seen stoney, pointy, skin ripping forests? Well, if you want to then maybe visit the limestone towers in Tsingy de Bemaraha national park and reserve in western Madagascar but beware, you slip and you get impaled. This unique area has been explored by only a few and thus, most of it is unknown to humans. These forests are named Tsingy, meaning 'where one cannot walk barefoot'. Dragonflies and spiny, drought-tolerant Pachypodium plants thrive here. Well, how much ever you travel and feel you have seen a lot but some places are just mysterious and intriguing.

World's first hand-woven car

Artisan Ojo Obaniyi, a 40 year old man, made this car in his workshop in Ibadan in Southwest Nigeria. This car works like any other car and uses fuel as well. The fibre that is used to make this car is also used to make mats, baskets and other useful products by nigerians.
